Global village
What is the “Global Village”?
The Global Village is an area within the exhibition hall dedicated to the IDF Member Associations. The objective is to serve as an avenue of exchange between associations and for them to showcase their activities. Each association will be granted a stand within the “Global Village”.
Who can participate?
Each association will have its own stand within the Global Village. The stand can be staffed by a maximum of two persons, representing the association. Associations are asked to assign those people who are voting at the General Council, to be held in Montreal on Sunday 18 October 2009. More information on the General Council will be sent to you nearer the conference date.
What does IDF offer?
Through the Global Village IDF offers its Member Associations a unique opportunity to interact with other associations and industry. Each Member Association will be allowed to send a maximum of 2 representatives. These representatives will be entitled to the following package:
Travel
Provided that funding is not received from an external source IDF will reimburse the equivalent of a return ticket to Montreal in economy class only. Representatives of Member Associations are asked to make their own travel arrangements. IDF will not be in a position to do so.
The following travel caps for reimbursement for Global Village attendees will be implemented:
| AFR | 2,000 EUR |
| MENA | 1,800 EUR |
| EUR | 1,500 EUR |
| NA | 500 EUR |
| SACA | 1,200 EUR |
| SEA | 3,000 EUR |
| WP | 2,500 EUR |
Reimbursement will be done upon presentation of and according to original travel documents (invoice, ticket, boarding pass) and completed travel expense forms.
Accommodation
