About IDF
The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is the global advocate for the more than 200 million people with diabetes worldwide. It represents over 200 diabetes associations in more than 160 countries.
The mission of IDF is to promote diabetes care, prevention and a cure worldwide. IDF is a non-governmental organization in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO).
The Federation is divided into seven regions which aim to bring local needs and activities to the attention of the global diabetes community. They are: Africa; Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East; Europe; North America; South and Central America; South-East Asia; and Western Pacific.
The headquarters of IDF are located in Brussels, Belgium.
